Frequently asked

Questions

What are PDO Threads?

PDO threads are dissolvable sutures that can be used to lift and restore firmness to sagging skin and make aesthetic improvements. This procedure helps stimulate the production of collagen to provide a rejuvenated, tight look in the treated area.

How Long is a PDO thread Treatment?

The procedure takes about 1-2 hours. Typically, you can return to work the same day. You may have some minor swelling for a couple of days and light bruising can last from 7-14 days.

DOES THE PROCEDURE HURT?

We use different techniques to minimize discomfort. First, an anesthetic cream is applied 30 min to 1 hour before the treatment. Lidocaine is also used to “freeze” the insertion site.

If you have questions or concerns about discomfort, talk to your aesthetic professional.

What areas can be treated with PDO Threads?

Cheeks, jawline, neck, forehead, eyebrow, buttocks, etc.

How soon can I see results?

You will see an immediate result, but a bigger improvement after 2 months. That’s the time the skin needs to produce more collagen.

How long do the PDO threads last after treatment?

The results of a PDO thread lift are immediate and can last from 6 to 18 months.

How much does a treatment cost?

The price by region starts at 1500$.

How do I know if I am a good candidate?

You need to book a consultation before the treatment.

What are the risks?

While PDO thread lifts have way lower risks than a facelift surgery, there can be some minor complications that are usually corrected easily.

Since thread lifts do not require a scalpel incision, there will be less risk of scarring or severe bleeding. You may experience sensitivity, irritation, pain, or minor bruising.

We will provide medication and other products to help keep you comfortable while the discomfort goes away.

Is there any downtime?

Recovery is minimal. You may have some minor swelling for a couple of days and light bruising can last from 7-14 days.

What to expect after treatment?

You may experience bruises, swelling, minimal pain after the procedure. Skin sensitivity for at least a week where your threads were inserted. Talk to your medical aesthetician if you have any questions on how to help minimize these risks.
